Ken Mathieson

After earning a bachelor of science in marine transportation from the State University of New York Maritime College, Ken Mathieson matriculated at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park, New Jersey, to obtain his master of business administration with a concentration in finance. While still in grad school, Ken Mathieson joined Prudential Securities as a financial advisor, garnering invaluable professional experience in areas ranging from general portfolio management and estate planning to alternative investments and philanthropic services.

After serving 12 years with Prudential, Ken Mathieson expanded his financial services expertise as a wealth manager with Smith Barney and then Morgan Stanley. His duties included handling client investment portfolios and corporate retirement plans such as 401Ks and stock options.

A founding partner of Laidlaw Asset Management, LLC, Mr. Mathieson has also served as managing director of the New York City-based investment bank since February 2017. In his free time, he enjoys attending Broadway plays and traveling.
